National University Debating Championship 2018

National University Debating Championship (NUDC) is a national competition held by Ministry of Research, Technology and higher education of the Republic of Indonesia every year. After selected regionally and participating in national, the winner of NUDC will be granted tickets to the World University Debating Championship (WUDC). EDS UR are selected to join NUDC 2018 on regional and national level.

This year NUDC 2018 was held in Universitas Negeri Malang on 15-21 August of 2018. But, before traveling to Malang, EDS UR was participating in the NUDC Regional X 2018 in Pekanbaru. With team consist of:

1. Agung Soegihin (FT '15)

2. Stephani F Valentina (FISIP '17)

3. Rama Setyo Prakoso (FH '16)

Competing among 32 teams from Riau, Sumatera Barat, Kepulauan Riau and Jambi, EDS UR succeed to grab the Champion and the Best Speaker of NUDC Regional X 2018.

In Malang, the team break into the top 32 teams of Main Draw Category. Following 9 rounds of preliminary rounds, show that Universitas Riau

is worth for national tournaments to count on.
